The betrayer

 Luke 22:21-23

At this intimate fellowship Jesus reveals that one of them will betray Him.  I find it interesting that they all question each other.  In other words, they all had the capacity to do it.  I also find it interesting that Jesus choses to reveal this at this intimate time and that He doesn't take the person aside privately.  We need to watch how satan works during intimate times.  Lord Jesus, help us to be on our guard so that we find ourselves working for You not satan during intimate times.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
