Demons knew who He was

 Luke 4:41

There is a spiritual world around us.  In the west folks have their fortunes told and read horoscopes but they don't really think of this as engaging in the spiritual world but in the time of Jesus, and in other parts of the world like Africa people believe in demons...and what's interesting today, is these demons know who Jesus is!  What's even more interesting is Jesus didn't want others to know who He was.  How about you?  Are you proud of the fact that you know Jesus?  Remember even the demons knew Jesus. This leads to the question what is the difference between a demon and an angel?  Could it be the side they are fighting for?  Are you fighting for good in this world or are you letting evil rule?  Lord Jesus, help us to usher in Your Kingdom here on earth.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
