It will come to pass

 Luke 21:32-33

These words are hard for me to understand.  Jesus is so certain the end will come...and it did for the disciples.  Jesus was killed, the temple was destroyed...Yet the end of the world still hasn't come.  Jesus says in another passage even He doesn't know when the end of the world is.  This is God's grace in action.  As long as there is hope God continues to let us live.  Lord Jesus, please help us not to take God's grace for granted.  Help us also to raise the bar.  The pandemic  is really in the world of mental health and addictions not covid.  Please help us to help each the other so that Your Kingdom comes and Your will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
