Struggles with others

 Luke 17:1-4

Jesus is realistic.  He says we will struggle with others and we may trip each other up but watch out; God is watching and if we cause someone to fall we will be held accountable for it.  It's important to confront someone if they are causing you to struggle but it's also important to forgive...even if we have to forgive many times.  Lord Jesus, please help us to be aware of others around us so we don't cause others to stumble and heal our hearts so we can forgive when others cause us to stumble.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
