Jesus weeps

 Luke 19:41-44

There are times when I don't know what to do with sin!  Jesus says in this case their eyes were blinded to the truth.  Lord Jesus, I know we're in a spiritual battle but I ask that You show us what You see.  Open our eyes to Your truths.  Everything seemed to be okay the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem...except for Him, a Jew, that people were following and the temple/church leaders seemed threatened by; but a number of years later the vision that Jesus saw was fulfilled.  The same is true for us today.  Everything seems okay but everyone is going to his/her own way and ultimately I predict, God will have enough.  Lord Jesus, please show us, each step of the way, what we are to do about the sin that surrounds us and please protect us from the evil one.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
