Jesus ministers to the disabled

 Luke 18:35-43

Here is a true story of a man who was rejected by the disciples(Christians)...and others in culture but Jesus heard him; asked him what he wanted...and in faith he asked Jesus to heal him....and He did.

Lord Jesus, please help us to be compassionate with others; especially those who have disabilities.  The laws we are working on in Canada are disturbing in this regard.  Please intervene and show us what we are to do to help Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
