Are we prepared?

 Luke 17:28-29

Sin was rampant in Lot's day as it is today and instantly everything changed; like a volcano erupting or the world health organization declaring a pandemic we don't have control over the future. So are we prepared?  Have we got our focus on eternal things; things of God?  Lord Jesus, we live in Your Kingdom which we can't see so please help us from being contaminated with satan's Kingdom.  Teach us how to live in this world but not to be a part of it.  Help us to contribute to Your Kingdom in the best way possible.  Show us how to use the things that You have provided for us in this world for Your Kingdom. Amen

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
