How's the fruit?

Luke 6:43-45  

Check up on the fruit;  Galatians 5:22 describe the fruit.  Luke 6:45 says the fruit is a result of what is on the inside of us?  Check up on the root of the tree that's producing the fruit.  Are the roots in good soil, surrounded by friends and mentors that support our walk with God?  Lord Jesus, please help us to produce good fruit.  Show us areas in our lives where we can improve the fruit production and help us to celebrate the good fruit that You are producing in us.  Thanks

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
