Standing up for what is right

Luke 3:19-20 Thank You Lord for the freedom of speech we have in Canada; yet there are times when standing up for what is right is dangerous. I'm told, for instance, that family court is the most dangerous court. I also think of those who put their lives on the line, like police officers, for what is right in things like human trafficking. Lord Jesus please bless each person who is choosing to stand up for what is right. I don't understand why You allowed John to go to prison; yet John would say it was so Jesus would get his proper focus. Great and sovereign Lord may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

If you're up you will come down

  Luke 6:25   I find these teachings of Jesus interesting.  He seems to be saying if you're up you will come down but if you're down you will go up.  Is He saying life is full of it's ups and downs so recognize that when you're up be careful because you will come down?  Lord Jesus, help us to appreciate our ups knowing that with every up there is a down.   Luke 10:29-37 During this year of covid we've been forced to slow down.  I'm wondering if it's helping us to see our neighbours in need.  Lord Jesus, please help us not to be so busy going about Your work we miss seeing our neighbours in need.
