Obedient

Luke 2:51-52
It's interesting that Jesus was obedient to His parents during His teenage years. Was this the key to Him growing in wisdom and popularity with God and man? I'm not sure, but what we do know is Mary made note of all of this. Raising the Son of God couldn't have been an easy task but Jesus was good at forming relationship with His parents...so much so that when Mary needed Jesus help she turned to Him and believed He could perform a miracle; and He did, He turned water into wine.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
