Moving in the Spirit

Luke 2:27-28
Simeon was filled with the Spirit and He went where the Spirit led him and on this day he went into the temple courts. We're not sure how he recognized the Messiah in such a little one. Maybe Mary and Joseph told him all the stories around His birth or maybe the Holy Spirit told him; no matter, he knew this was the Messiah that people were waiting for so he praised God.

If you're up you will come down

  Luke 6:25   I find these teachings of Jesus interesting.  He seems to be saying if you're up you will come down but if you're down you will go up.  Is He saying life is full of it's ups and downs so recognize that when you're up be careful because you will come down?  Lord Jesus, help us to appreciate our ups knowing that with every up there is a down. Thanks.

Our neighbour

  Luke 10:29-37 During this year of covid we've been forced to slow down.  I'm wondering if it's helping us to see our neighbours in need.  Lord Jesus, please help us not to be so busy going about Your work we miss seeing our neighbours in need.
