Unbelief

 Luke 1:18-20


 Zechariah got the message but he wanted to be sure so he asked for proof.  The angel said "I am proof" but if you want more you won't be able to speak until he is born!  

Isn't it reasonable to ask for proof?  We don't want to be mislead.  But then I think how does God best prevent the enemy from using this news against the plan?  He silenced the sharing of this story until it came to pass.  May God direct us as He shares with us so that His kingdom may come and His will may be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Herod

  Luke 23:8-12 This passage says a lot about Herod.  First of all he wanted to see Jesus because he had heard about Him.  Herod was hoping Jesus would perform a miracle for him but Jesus wasn't going to be played.  Jesus didn't answer Herod's questions and His accusers seemed to be heard by Herod so Herod started to mock Jesus but Herod didn't find anything wrong with him.  Herod sent Him back to Pilate,,,and what is interesting is Herod and Pilate became friends that day. Lord Jesus, when satan sends the mockers help us to be wise and know when to speak and when not to speak.  Give us the courage to stand for what is right, in Your time and way. Amen.

Fringe folk

  Luke 9:49-50 Have you ever noticed some non-church goers are amazing people, doing amazing things?  Jesus says, if they're not against us they're for us.  Lord Jesus, help us not to discourage people who are on the fringes of the church.  Help us see how they are helping in Your Kingdom and celebrate their goodness.
